For over 10 years now, our company RainbowWeddingNetwork (and sister campaign, Same Love, Same Rights) have been striving to bring together the various facets of the LGBT community and our allies, to better communicate and organize ourselves as we champion our own claim to full EQUAL MARRIAGE and FAMILY RIGHTS.

Over the years, we have had our disappointments, with many organizations refusing to 'play nice' with others simply because of worries over who might get the glory, or who might gain the most profit, or who might have the last say concerning what the logistical outcome might be... Hmm.

My opinion is simple: EQUALITY IS AN ABSOLUTE. To hold it as our vision requires no nit-picking or in-fighting or competitive strategizing. It simply requires intent and a sure knowledge that our desire for equal rights and justice for our families is something we deserve. Let the chaff of any particular or divisive arguments just fall away: it does not serve our cause.

In this past decade, I have witnessed more and more people awakening to the possibility that Equal Rights will be ours sooner rather than later. And I truly believe that as a minority we are closer than ever to becoming a more cohesive group that will fulfill this truth for ourselves.
